This Czech native changed her view of African nature

The real story of Joy Adams

You may be wondering to yourself who is Joy Adamson? She is a woman who came from Opava and changed her deep-rooted views on nature conservation. Still nothing? How about the information that she is the author of stories about the lioness Elsa?

Joy Adamson is best known as the author of The Lioness of Elsa, which was translated into several languages and conquered the world. A film version was even made, but Joy did much more. She has published a total of 17 books and donated all the proceeds to building African national parks. She was interested in researching wild African cats and returning animals to the wild. She is also the founder of the African Conservation Foundation, which still operates today.

Literally like a lioness, Joy Adamson fought to make people more responsible for conserving nature. Not only in Africa, which is considered to be a hunting paradise, has committed itself to banning the killing of animals.

This Czech native managed all this despite the fact that fate was not exactly merciful to her. She had a difficult childhood. She did not get along with her parents and after their divorce she moved to Vienna to visit her grandmother. According to Joy, she and the lioness Elsa were the most important people in her life. She also divorced several times during her life, and was eventually murdered by her own servant.

Joy left behind a huge legacy that still inspires many people to protect nature and love animals. Let's work together to honor this legacy and protect nature as much as possible. Add nature conservation to your life values in the Tools of the Titans and constantly remember those values.
