Ciera has been suffering from a rare skin disease since birth. She has birthmarks all over her body, which has a very significant effect on fair skin. As a child, she experienced hell because of her differences. The other children bullied and laughed at her for looking like a Dalmatian.
She first encountered bullying in elementary school. Ciera's classmates shunned her. She had no friends, and cruel taunts made her depressed. She also struggled with feelings of anxiety and inferiority in high school.
At the end of high school, Ciera found Instagram, where she decided to show people her true face. She was not ashamed of her body behind the screen.
And paradoxically, the social network that brings depression to many people has helped Ciera get rid of hers.
