Make a RAW cake

Nowadays a very modern term in the field of healthy eating is the so-called "RAW" diet. What does "RAW" mean? "RAW" is a word from English where literally means raw. Raw food is a food that is not, however, heat-treated. In this article I will focus on so-called "RAW Cakes".

You have certainly heard of them. Many of you atcafes or healthy eating restaurants even have tasted. And some of you have already tried making RAW cakes at home. And if not, I have some cooking tips for you. **RAW cake is therefore uncooked** and its preparation does not take much time. It consists mostly of two parts: corpus and cream. To create a raw cake, you need this kitchen equipment:

  • a good blender
  • a releasable cake mold
  • food foil (put it at the bottom of the mold)
  • a freezer

The corpus is made by mixing cashew nuts mostly with almonds or walnuts for flour (depending on the type of recipe or what you have at home), then add dates and some water. Everything is mixed into the mass that you then spread to the bottom of the cake mold. The body thickness should be 2 cm. For the cream we choose fruits (apricots, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, etc., again depending on the recipe), before mixing the fruit, mix a bunch of nuts again, add some fruit, agave or other syrup (I use rice or dairies too. Only for dark fruit because it is dark in color). Then add molten coconut oil and cocoa butter, depending on the type of recipe, add some lemon or orange juice. Your fantasy is endless. Coconut oil and cocoa butter are very important, which, after putting the cake into the refrigerator, causes it to become stiff. It is important to mix the fruit thoroughly so that the oil does not float around the edge. I recommend always use more cocoa butter and less coconut oil. The cake will get tighter. The amount and ratio of each ingredient is given for different recipes which you can found on the internet. When the cream is ready, pour it onto the body in the mold. Put the cake in the refrigerator, so after 2 hours of solidification I still give it 2-3 hours to the freezer and then back to the refrigerator. It's good to leave it there for a day to become nicely stiff. Finally, you can decorate it on top with the rest of the fruit, such as apricots or strawberries. **RAW cake preparation is really easy** althought raw ingredients are more expensive than classic white baking flour. However, if you do not indulge yourself with candies often, **RAW cake is a healthy option**. Moreover, it is quite filling so we do not need to eat it a lot at once. We all have a choice in life. It's up to us what we decide on, even in the diet. If we learn to eat modestly, we can afford more expensive and better food. As a result, we nowadays spend more on cheaper foods if we do not care about the amount of food. Believe me, if you are able to not to overeat, you will feel better and at the same time have more energy.
